Rosenporten
Hack Kampman (1902)
Indkørslen til Marselisborg Slot er markeret ved en smuk port, Rosenporten.
Smedejernsporten er tegnet af Hack Kampmann og er i klassisk jugendstil. Porten er udsmykket med 10 rosenblomster og 14 roser på stilke på den øverste del af porten.
Rose-motivet går igen på rækværket ved slottets terrasse med roser og bladværk - ligeledes smedet af århusianske smede.
Sammen med parkens rosenhave er rosen således et stort tema i slotshaven.
I anledning af H.M. Dronning Margrethe IIs 60-års fødselsdag i 2000 var gaven fra Århus Smedelaug, Århus Bymuseum og Århus Håndværkerforening en restaurering af Rosenporten.

The entrance to Marselisborg Palace is marked by a beautiful gate, Rosenporten (the Rose Gate).
The wrought iron gate was designed by Hack Kampmann and is in classic Jugendstil. It is decorated with 10 rose blossoms and 14 long-stemmed roses on the upper part of the gate.
The rose motif is repeated in the railing on the palace terrace, featuring roses and foliage – also forged by blacksmiths from Aarhus.
Together with the rose garden in the park, the rose is thus a prominent theme in the palace grounds.
In honour of HM Queen Margrethe II’s 60th birthday in 2000, the gift from the Aarhus Blacksmiths’ Guild, Aarhus City Museum, and Aarhus Craftsmen’s Association was the restoration of the Rose Gate.
